Slate Tablets Information Overload

After monitoring many blogs and RSS feeds regarding tablets I have concluded that this "hobby" of a blog requires more manpower than a single individual can do on it's spare time. It's too much mental stress. Unique content is essential to rank well in search engines and I have failed to create that content.  Re-posting is hideous work.

I have decided to take a break and think about a different route for this blog. For those that stumble upon this blog I have left some comments regarding some slate tablets.

There are a million and one slate tablets coming out but most of them will fail and will be hideous. Android seems to be turning into the "Windows" for slate tablets. Hardware and software wise most of them offer nothing unique. However, there are few tablets worth buying.

Some slate tablets I consider unique:
  • Apple iPad 2 - Beautifully designed, tons of apps, it's an Apple product.
  • BlacBerry PlayBook - 7 inch, small and slim, smooth interface, unique bezel gestures
  • HTC Flyer/HTC Evo View 4G - Pen input on an Android OS tablet
  • HP TouchPad - HP is creating an experience that is compatible with Pre cell phones
  • Asus EP121 - Full pc with Windows, touch + pen input
  • ThinkPad Tablet - Pen Input and Android OS.

Crap:
  • Archos tablets
  • Samsung Galaxy tablets(previous generation)
  • Most Windows tablets that offer no touch + pen input
  • Most Android tablets (anything less than $500 is probably crap)

This is not the "death" of this blog, it's just a delay until I come up with a better idea.

For the latest and greatest tablets checkout the Amazon Tablet Store.
